About

Mission Statement

The Friends of St. Nick was founded in 1992 with the dual purpose of honoring those people who have served the town of Norwood well by their efforts, while at the same time, raising funds to support the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

About The Friends of St. Nick

We unashamedly borrowed the concept from our friends in Walpole, the “Friends” of St. Patrick and Christopher Columbus. With each passing year, we hope to strengthenĀ the ties that bind our groups together. In our eighteen year history we have raised over $400,000 for the Jimmy Fund/Dana Farber Cancer Institute through our luncheon, raffles, silent auction and donations.

Norwood has many citizens who are deserving of recognition by our group. From the beginning the FOSN has tried to bring the best of both worlds. Ā Honor those who serve the community and raise awareness and funding in the fight against cancer.

The Friends of St. Nick is committed to ringing in the holiday season with good friends, good cheer for a good cause.

Anyone can be a “Friend of St. Nick”. The membership requirements are simple. Simply join us each year as we pay tribute to those people who have contributed so much to the Town of Norwood. Raise a glass, sing a song or just lend a hand as we celebrate the season and support the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund.
