Norwood Bank was established in 1889 in the home of its treasurer on Washington Street to facilitate home buyer lending. The vision of the Bank was to help town residents own their own homes. This “hometown” bank has continued and expanded the vision of the founders to include neighbors helping neighbors and supporting to name a few: Norwood Little League, Pop Warner, NHS Football, the Post Prom Party, Norwood Historical Society, Norwood Senior Center, Norwood Cultural Arts and the NHS Scholarship Foundation.

President Ron Mallette began his tenure at the Bank in 1990 accompanied by CFO Chris Dixon. They entered at a time of flux with both the US and MA economy and yet continued to make Norwood Bank one of the most successful in the state. The leaders of this exceptional local business, as well as their employees, have ALWAYS put their customers and Norwood first!
