We are pleased to announce that our 2017 honoree will be Marybeth McDonough. Since a young age, Marybeth has devoted herself to giving back to the community. She moved to Norwood in 1988 she has since contributed to the community in countless ways. For the past 28 years, Marybeth and her family have organized a neighborhood collection of money and food; working in unison with the Norwood Food Pantry they have been able to aid those in need when it matters most.
In addition to having four children of their own, she and her husband, John, opened their home and became foster parents to ten children over the course of a decade. She was the CCD director for St. Catherine of Sienna Parish for eight years and has worked as an Early Intervention Child Care Specialist/Educator in Norwood and surrounding communities for the past 20 years. The Friends of St. Nick are honored to name Marybeth McDonough our 2017 Person of the Year.
